According to the Congressional Research Service, the average age of members of the U.S. House of Representatives is 58.4 years, and in the Senate it's 64.3.
State legislatures mirror this trend, with more than 70% of state lawmakers over the age of 50. Meanwhile, Millennials and Generation Z now make up over 40% of the U.S. electorate but hold less than 10% of seats in government.
Our Goals
